Privacy policy

Groundwork is prospect intelligence for agency new business teams, operated by Sales with Soul Ltd. We are the data controller for the personal data described here.

Waitlist sign-ups. Your email address, your name if you give it, whether you agreed to receive marketing emails, the date of that agreement, and which part of the site you signed up from.

Account holders. Your email address, name, the ideal customer profile you set up, the brand lists and reports you create, and the connection activity you record in the app.

Research data. Reports include business contact information about senior people at the brands you research, such as name, job title, employer and public LinkedIn profile, gathered from publicly available sources.

To run the waitlist. We email you to confirm your place and to tell you when a spot opens. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in responding to a request you made.

To provide the product. Accounts, reports and connection tracking. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract with you.

To send marketing emails. Only if you ticked the box asking for updates and tips. Our lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time.

For research data in reports. Our lawful basis is legitimate interest in providing business to business research, limited to professional information already published by the individual or their employer.

Waitlist entries are kept until you ask us to remove them, or for up to 24 months after your last interaction with us, whichever comes first. Account data is kept while your account is active and for 12 months after it closes, then deleted. Records of marketing consent are kept for as long as we rely on that consent, plus a short period afterwards as evidence that it was given.

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We use a small number of service providers who process data on our behalf: hosting and database providers, and an email delivery provider. They act only on our instructions and are bound by contract. Where data is processed outside the UK or EEA, it is covered by appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive it in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time, and every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

We respond within one month. If you are not happy with our response you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

We use only the cookies and local storage needed to keep you signed in and to make the app work. We do not use advertising or third party tracking cookies.

If we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you by email.
